CA or Charted Accountancy course has three levels. The procedure to do the same is:

While in 12th fill the form for the 1st level CA exam which is also known as CPT or register yourself with ICAI or the Institute of Charted Accountants of India.

The CPT takes place one in a quarter every year. It consists of 4 subjects that you will have to qualify before moving on to the next level.

Once you qualify the CPT then fill the form for the next level also known as PCE. Remember that whichever form you fill it should be filled at least 10 months before you intent to give the exam. this exam takes place twice in a year i.e. May and November.

If you are Willing to do CA after your graduation then you need not give the CPT exam and can directly sit for the PCE Level.

The PCE level has 2 groups. Each group has 3 subjects and passing each subject in a group is important to qualify the group and to qualify the PCE level you will have to pass both the groups. Failing in even one subject means that you fail the entire group which you have to give or qualify in your next attempt.

Along with the PCE level you can also take the IT training that is compulsory.

After the PCE level is completed you will have to opt for Articleship or the industrial training that has to be done under a qualified CA. The duration of this training is 3 years. It is suggested that you do your training under a well reputed CA as it will be of great help to you later on when you are looking for a job.

Once the PCE Level and Articleship is completed you will have to give the Final Level of your CA course. You will again have to fill the form for the Final Level and that too 10 months before you want to give your exam.

The Final Level consists of 2 groups i.e. Group 1 and Group 2. Each group has 4 subjects qualifying all the subjects is compulsory to qualify the group. And you will be asked to qualify both the groups to pass the Final Level.

Once the final level is completed you will have to undergo a 15 days training on General Management and Communication which is compulsory.

Once all these levels are qualified you will be awarded a CA certificate and you can start working as a CA.
