Hey Dear,

Welcome To Careerguide.com!!!.

It is good to know that you have decided and kind of chosen your career and that you want to become a Fashion Designer in future. As far as taking subjects for the same is concerned you can take any stream that you want as there is no specific subject criteria to get into this field. One can opt for any subject combination to get into this career. Be it Science, Commerce or Humanities or Arts you can opt for any one of them and take up Fashion Designing as a career option in your future that is after class 12th.

2.  Commerce

3.  Arts

4.  Schollership Tests After 10th

But one of the subjects that you should try and have or study is Fine Arts because if you seriously intend to become a fashion designer then Fine Arts is one subject that will help you develop basic skills of drawing and creativity that are required in this field. After your 12th class you will have to sit for the entrance exams and if you qualify those you will have to further sit for the Group Discussions and Interview for the same. After this a merit list is prepared and students who have scored the maximum marks get through it. Apart from General Knowledge, General Awareness, Reasoning and English Drawing Skills are also tested. So be prepared for all of them for the exam.

Some of the top colleges for Fashion Designing are NID i.e. National Institute of Designing, NIFT i.e. National Institute of Fashion Designing, Pearl Academy etc.... for Craft Designing is IICD i.e. Indian Institute of Craft Designing which is again a very good career these days and many more......... Dear there are many options in the same but first of all be prepared to crack the exam so that you get into a good college for fashion designing.
