One of the most important decision one needs to make.
This decision I would suggest, be made on the basis of your interest, your liking, your potentials etc. Here I would suggest, an Aptitude test or career counseling test also available with Mera career. The test would reveal your aptitude, your potentials and interest and would help you make a determined choice.
Do not choose on the basis of your percentage or score, friends or family or the most wanted career
Wish you good luck...

You can choose any stream from Science, Commerce and Arts. There are also Diploma courses you can opt for which includes diploma in engineering, nursing, medical lab technician, designing etc.
But the question here is how will you choose amongst so many options.
As a counselor, I strongly suggest choosing on the basis of ones interest, aptitude, potentials and not on the basis of percentage, friends, family or the most trending career. Dear Shravil, what you should opt depends on your interest, abilities and also the future prospects of that study stream. Good observation I must say.
You are right. Mostly students shift to the CBSE board right after 10th.
The first and only reason being, entrance exam like NEET and other entrance exams are mostly set and conducted by the CBSE board. Hence students get a hang of the board pattern and syllabus.
The other reason can be that after 12th, especially in India, Universities follow the CBSE pattern and not the international board pattern.
Hope this answers your query.
Wish you good luck...
School education lays the foundation stone in building the personality of a person. This 14 years of schooling mold the child’s career into a different level. Interesting question asked.
Please note, CBSE is a more practical oriented course. They stress more on the concepts and test the students on the concept using worksheets, tests, experiments and other learning methodology.
At the sametime, CBSE focuses mainly on Science and Math subjects. Since CBSE is responsible for the Medical and Engineering entrance exams, they very well understand the value of the subjects and focuses on them a lot. Not that they ignore the language subjects.
They have well trained faculty members and stress mainly on speaking English language only duri

Interesting question. As choosing the subjects cautiously will help you in choosing a career henceforth.
But please note, the choice of subjects are personal. It would all depend on the career choice you wish to pursue in the future. Eg. The query you have posted is a very common confusion faced by students these days. Only reason for this is not knowing ones self completely.
The way towards this confusion is doing a self analysis. Ask yourself few questions and answer them honestly. Questions like:
1. What are your strengths?.
2. What is the activity you like doing the most and you perform it easily?.
3. Which are the traits eg. Soft natured, helping hand, creative or research oriented etc are you appreciated for by people other than your parents and sibblings.
4. Which is the subject you have
