2. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry

JIPMER is located in Pondicherry, India, and is a public university. JIPMER is spread over a 195-acre campus, has more than 300 faculty members, 700 resident doctors, and more than 3,000 nursing, administrative, and support staff. 4. Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi

Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, was established in 1914 with the goal of providing Indian women with an opportunity to pursue medicine as a career. 5. King George’s Medical University, Uttar Pradesh

The King George Medical University, previously known as the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University, has had many name changes over the years. King George V (at the time, the Prince of Wales) laid the foundation of the university in 1906 – hence the present name. Five years later, the university opened its doors, with an official opening ceremony in January 1912. The Faculty of Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Dental Sciences, the Institute of Paramedical Sciences, and the Institute of Nursing are four faculties offered by the university. The university enrolls up to 1,250 undergraduate students and 450 postgraduate students every year.

6. Armed Forces Medical College Pune, Maharashtra

The Medical College of the Armed Forces (AFMC) is India’s premier medical institute, recognized as a center of excellence for education and science. AFMC offers training in the defense forces to undergraduate and postgraduate medical and nursing students with guaranteed job opportunities. Two UG courses are offered by the college – MBBS, and B.Sc. in nursing. The college offers various specializations under MD and MD/MS degrees as PG courses, together with M.Sc. Degree in Anatomy and Masters in Administration of Hospitals. The college also offers PG Diploma courses as well as a number of Super specialty courses other than the UG and PG courses.

7. Madras Medical College, MMC, Chennai

Madras Medical College (abbreviated as MMC Chennai) located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu is an educational institution. established on February 2, 1935. MCC is India’s third oldest medical college and, with 425 seats, is one of the country’s leading centers of PG medical education. At present, Madras Medical College has about twenty-five hundred medical and paramedical enrolled students. MMC, Chennai is affiliated with Dr. MGR University in Tamilnadu.
