So you will have to appear for the university test for PhD scholars in the leading institutes like Delhi university, Jmi, Lovely Professional University, SRM university etc. If you are a UGC/CSIR NET holder, you are exempted from the test.You are eligible for direct admission. Hello Jimsilu, If you wish to be a professor of Physics go ahead with the subject. Please note that a masters degree is the requirement to be a to be a lecturer, followed by clearing the NET / SET exams. Thus I as a counselor, would recommend that pursue a graduation in the subject you wish to teach then clearing the NET / SET becomes easier. Rest is your choice. But please note, pursue a masters degree too. Wish you good luck..
