PHR
The PHR exam focuses on the technical and operational aspects of human resource practices, U.S, law and regulation based.

The Professional in Human Resources (PHR)certification is designed for the HR professional who

  • focuses on program implementation
  • has tactical/logistical orientation
  • is accountable to another HR professional within the organization
  • typically has two to four years of professional (exempt-level) work experience in all HR disciplines, but whose experience lacks the breadth and depth of a more senior-level HR practitioner
  • has not yet had progressive and increasingly complicated HR work experience
  • has responsibilities that focus on the HR department rather than on the whole organization

SPHR
The Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification is designed for the HR professional who
  • designs and plans, rather than implements, HR policy
  • focuses on the "big picture"
  • has ultimate accountability in the HR department
  • typically has six to eight years of progressive and increasingly complicated HR experience
  • has breadth and depth of knowledge in all HR disciplines
  • uses judgment gained with time and knowledge application
  • understands the business beyond the HR function and influences the overall organization


GPHR



The Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR®) certification is designed for the HR professional who
  • has HR responsibilities that cross national borders
  • understands the strategies of globalization versus localization of HR policies and programs
  • establishes HR policies and initiatives that support the organization's global growth and employer reputation
  • designs organizational programs, processes and tools to achieve worldwide business goals
  • develops, implements, and evaluates programs, processes and tools
    ensures that programs, processes, and tools align with competitive practice, the organization's objectives, and legal requirements
  • oversees practices that balance employer needs with employee rights and needs
  • has core knowledge of the organization's international HR activities


HRBP

The Human Resource Business Professional (HRBP?) is a globally relevant credential that is designed to validate professional-level core human resource knowledge and skills. The credential demonstrates mastery of generally accepted technical and operational HR principles. Independent of geographic region, the credential complements local HR practices. Through demonstrated knowledge, the credential enhances the credibility of HR professionals and the organizations they serve.
HRMP
The Human Resource Management Professional (HRMP?) is a globally relevant credential that is designed to validate management-level core human resource knowledge and skills. The credential demonstrates mastery of generally accepted HR principles in strategy and policy development as well as service delivery. Independent of geographic region, the credential complements local HR practices. Through demonstrated knowledge, the credential enhances the credibility of HR professionals and the organizations they serve.

Good to hear you have decided human resources to be your career. May I know what are your current educational/work status? Have you done any undergraduate course? Have you been working so far or for how many years, and most particularly are you working in the field of human resources? Konwing more about each of these questions would ideally help me to advice you more appropriately. However I shall try to generalize my answer considering you are working in an entry level HR role within a company.

There are four ways to enhance your career within the field of human resources and I shall describe on them one by one in here.
1. Full time education at Masters level:
I assume you should have at least completed your bachelors degree. If this is the case, you may consider doing a two year master of science course in human resource management. The following are the top institutions across India that offers MSc Human resource management.

IIT Kharagpur, Jamia Millia Islamia, Tata institute of social sciences, Madras school of social work, LIBA Chennai, St Xaviers college of arts and science, Sophia college, SNDT Womens university Mumbai, University of Delhi, Uni of Calcutta, Uni of Pune, Uni of Madras.

2. Full time education at professional course level:
In case you have done your bachelors degree, and even have had a few years of work experience in HR, you may be well suitable to do a professional degree like the MBA with HR course. Studying MBA with HR by fulltime is generally advisable than doing it by distance mode. The following institutions offer MBA HR and are one of the top ones.
IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, Isb Hyderabad, IIM Ranchi, IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow, IIM Khozhikode, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, XLRI, Welingkar institute of management, Symbiosis, SP Jain institute of management, MDI Gurgoan and IMT Ghaziabad.

3. Executive education in human resources:
In case you are working and cannot quit work, and are looking for a part time MBA/ PGDM course then doing the executive MBA/ PGDM HRM are very good options. There are plenty of institutes across India that offers part time executive programs for working professionals but please remember admission into these programs requires a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience depending on the university you will join. IIM Calcutta, IIIM Khozhikode and XLRI are well known for tehir part time executive programs in HRM for working professionals.

If you have gained at least considerable years of work experience, then you may do professional certifications with teh CIPD or like the certification in sourcing/ recruitment and many more. Hope this helps. Good luck.
