Hello Vaishnavi,

 A warm welcome to careerguide.com

Thanks for visiting us and writing us your career query.

Students who aspires to make there career in the Corporate Law for them Company Secretary is one of the great career option. CS has been gaining a great importance and scope these days. CS has been made a compulsory in the Companies by the Companies Act. CS is one of the top most preferred career option these days and has been gaining a great scope these days. Every year there has been a demand of around 1 lakh CS in the Industry but very few students are there in this field.

In order to make a career in CS one needs to register with the ICSI Institute with the nearby CS chapter in the city. One  can do the registration when they are pursuing their +2. After appearing for +2 or who has cleared +2 can appear for the CS Foundation Course. On successfully clearing CS Foundation one gets eligible to appear for the CS Professional Group I and II exams. While with CS Professional one has to undergo for the 3 years internship and IT Training. After clearing CS Professional one gets eligible for the CS Final Exam Group I and II.

on clearing CS Final exam one gets certified as CS from the ICSI institute to practice. Law and CS makes a good combination so I would you advice you to go for the 5 years law course with CS. Industries demand for CS+LLB students.

The exams are conducted twice in a year i.e May and December as per your choice you can choose when to give an exam.

I hope you find this information useful and helpful.

Feel free to get in touch again for any further career queries.

Wish you Good Luck

Thank You

Warm Regards,
