Hello Shrikant
There are no details about your current academic qualification. Are you worried about monitory benefits? If you clear exams like NET or start own coaching classes then it won’t be a problem.
Switching a career is only recommended if the candidate is interested and possesses skills related to the field. You shall join MBA HR course if you are interested in profiles related to recruitment, training, performance management, etc. Also, you must be good at communication, presentation and team work in order to be successful in this area.
Pursuing a course through full time college is highly recommended over distance mode.
All the best
Hello Shrikant,
Please note, scope is self created. Polish some skills required from a teacher, like personality development or communication skills etc, it will help you in the field.
In-case you are keen on an MBA then go for it. But please note, though there are a lot of companies, but if you are unable to show your worth then again you would be in the junior level itself.
Here I would recommend, that before you pursue an MBA, get into the HR field and get a first hand experience as to what the role entails and then make a decision.
As far as the difference between distance and regular courses are concerned.
Distance learning courses are also known as correspondence courses. They are mainly for professionals, who wish to continue with their job, but at the sametime, would like to have an additional degree. So they enroll for the course, but they do not attend classes like a full time or regular student. They are working and studying at the sametime. They mainly study on their own. Most of the institutes in distance learning provide "study centre", whereby students on weekends could attend the centre and clear their doubts too.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck..
Dear Aspirant,
What kind of teaching you are involved in? Are you teaching in a school or college? Why do you say that there is no scope in teaching? Just imagine, if you wish to pursue higher education, then without teachers how would you complete that? This is the importance of teachers and teaching field. I do not agree that there is no scope for teaching. There must be a specific problem with you and your teaching skills that you are not feeling interested in teaching.
I would suggest you to give it a second thought. As suggested by my colleague Ms. Deepti, you should appear for NET / SET exam if you are a Masters degree holder already. If you are not a Masters degree holder, you need to complete it. Going for full time MBA is not recommended, instead choosing MA/MCom/MSc based on your graduation stream is recommended. You wont get admission to full time MBA due to your over age. Generally 28 is the maximum age which is permitted by Institute for admission into full time course.
You can go for Distance Learning Masters degree and continue with your teaching job.
Further please remember that your teaching experience will be of no use in the corporate. So you will have to start as a fresher in the corporate job. Therefore think again to leave teaching.
Best wishes
