Hi, I've been working with couple of BPO & ITO company since 2006,my strengths are good communication,workaholic,friendly,flexible with working hours,open for new challenges,co-operative etc. i would like to know what are advantages of getting into HR? are there any growth? will my future be stable? also looking to get job in banking sector where its more of communication. if HR is good option kindly help me which course i should opt for & same for banking?

Reading on your query, I fell impressed to say you are definitely suited to working in the field of HR. HR is never restricetd to basic employer-employee administrationa nd it is much more than that. The first thing that really convinced me to say, you are definitely suitable to working in the HR field, is your experience in the BPO sector.

Working in the BPO sector, your main job role is about customer service right? Know what, HR is indeed a customer service profession and your customers are your own company employees. Almost all the skills that a good customer service representative need to have is equally essential for the HR person as well. Having expeienced in the BPO, ITO sectors I can see how much you should have evolved as a people oriented person. The skills for being an effective HR are customer service, presentation skills, organizing skills, team working skills, team building, people management and many more and I am sure you should have developed all these skills all through your BPO, ITO experience. This way you are definitely a suitable candidate for the HR.

You have asked about a course that will help you with both HR and banking. You may consider the following two courses.

You may consider doing an MCom with banking and HR as the core or specializations. If you are keen in going into the banking sector, you may apply for this degree and along with that choose to sit for competitive bank exams. Simultaneously you may also apply to banking jobs on Naukri, Monster, Times jobs, Shine and many more. You may also apply directly on career websites of individual bank websites like the ICICI, Axis, Standard chartered and many more.
If you are more inclined to HR than banking, this is an ideal choice for you. The chances of getting HR jobs in top MNC's are more withe the MBA than the MCom. Infact the pay range for MBA degrees are also high than the MCom degrees. You should most commonly clear CAT exam with high percentage to be able to get an admission offer for the MBA across India.
IIM's require CAT
IIT's require GATE/ CAT
ISB Hyderabad requires either GRE/ GMAT
XLRI requires XAT
Almost all the other institutions will require CAT or uses their own test. You should pass CAT with a high percentage to get into the above mentioned top business schools. Hope this helps. Good luck.
