Hi There,

Good question.

But my answer to this question is, A choreographers role has never changed, but yes like the way things have modified, a choreographer too needs to be in sync or else will loose its charm.

As you know and it is a universal fact, that dance is one of the ways in expressing ones emotions or feelings.

It gives more meaning to a song or to the story.
So the role of a choreographer is to understand the scene and help the dancer emote those emotions.

Since this is the time of fusion, so just not traditional form of dance, but also the modern form is a must.
A blend of the two but keeping in mind the ART form is the role of a choreographer.

Hope this answers your query.

Wish you good luck.............

Given that we live in a fusion era, it's essential that not only classical but also contemporary dance styles be taught and practiced.

The role of a choreographer has become much deeper than just creating a dance — now it is almost like being a director with the soul of a poet

. They don't just set movements, they convey ideas, feelings, and moods. I think that in the future, choreographers will delve even deeper into the psychology of dancers and work in close dialogue with the audience. By the way, reading about Margot Fonteyn on https://artdeballet.com/fonteyn/ , I realized how much depends on the tandem of the dancer and the choreographer — it is always creative chemistry.
