Dear Aspirant,
Glad to see you exploring the psychology as an option. I appreciate you writing to CareerGuide.com for your queries. I will list down response to your question below, and would suggest you to also consider commutation or distance and duration of travel while selecting the course and college for further studies.
You have pursued commerce field till now and you want to get into psychology now. I will enumerate the options for you below:
1. Do graduation in psychology from SNDT Women's University.
2. Do graduation in psychology from St.Xavier's College, Sophia College for Women, Bhavan's College and D G Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
3. The Department of Psychology, SNDT Churchgate, Mumbai runs the program on Career Guidance and Developmental counseling, readying students to serve in the future as career guidance counselors and work with young minds on the path to career success. SNDT university (http://psychologymumbai.sndt.ac.in/default.htm).
4. Take up a post graduate diploma course from IGNOU (http://ignou.ac.in/userfiles/IGNOU%20Admission%20Notice%20Millennium%20Post%208%20May,%202016_1.pdf). They have announced the admission notice for 2016 on 8th May, 2016.
I hope this information helps you.
All the best.
Why a sudden love for Psychology despite graduating in commerce? I need very much to know this to advice you appropriately. Has anybody suggested you to take up Psychology? It appears that you complete Commerce graduation just for somebody's sake and out of compulsion.
I feel you need to know what you are made up for and accordingly choose careers. Choosing Psychology after commerce seems very weird and does not get digested.
Commerce has excellent opportunities more than psychology careers.
You need to get Psychology qualification by either doing MA Psychology based on your commerce graduation. Yes, you can get admission into MA Psychology. Almost all Universities allow any graduate to get admitted into MA Psychology.
I would still suggest that know what career is ideal for you instead of choosing randomly. Appear for the Ideal Career Test which is a psychometric test.
Best wishes
