Wow...

This is called long term planning.
Firstly a hearty congratulations that you have chosen your career already and secondly the stream chosen is near to perfect.

For being an architect, you got it correct, you need maths as a subject. But you also need a combination of Physics. Since architecture includes a lot of calculations and proximity calculating, it requires a base of physics too.
So instead of commerce, preferably a background of Science with a combination of PCM, would be helpful.
But never the less, the eligibility criteria for B.Arch entrance exam is 12th with Maths, which you do qualify even if you take up commerce with Math. But please note that during the course you would be exposed to physics analogy, so a no base in physics could be a little difficult for you. Also the entrance exams would have a combination of time, space and distance, which gets a little easier with knowledge on physics.

Moreover apart from just math and physics, you would also require qualities like
  • Analytic ability
  • Visualization skills
  • Creative skills
  • Good grasping
  • Deriving skills
  • Good command over language
  • High confidence to put across your point
  • Critical thinker

Also please note this is not a 9--5 job. You can be called in anytime and can have to work in any condition. Sometimes resources may also not be available.

Choose wisely. And be ready to accept failures.

Wish you all the very best....
