Economics is a wonderful, challenging and well paying career option. With Economics, you can go for private as well as public sector jobs.
BA Economics is a good course to begin your career in Economics, Finance, etc. Do go ahead with BA Economics with a reputed college under a recognised University in India. Top colleges for learning Economics are Delhi School, Gokhale Institute, Pune, Symbiosis Economics Institute, Madras Institute.
With economics you can get jobs in banks, insurance, mutual funds, real estate, research, IT, teaching, etc.
Please do not stop with BA, I would strongly recommend you to go for PG. MA Economics is a good course. You can also shift to MBA Finance, CA, CFA, Market Research, Analysis, etc. where Economics is major subject.

You can get admission into MA Economics based on your BCom qualification of minimum 50%.
