If you want to become the professor in interior designing you need to meet following eligibility criteria:

Minimum Qualifications:
- MA, MS or MFA Degree in Interior Design or related field, or a bachelor's degree in Interior Design with extraordinary professional experience in interior design.
- Must be knowledgeable and have experience in professional architecture and/or interior design practice, in design education at the college level, and practical computer experience.
- Must possess commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications:
Specific capabilities and evidence of success in the following areas will be considered desirable:
- Professional experience as a consultant or staff designer;
- College-level teaching of design foundation courses and advanced-level interior design courses;
- Experience in computer-aided design;
- Professional experience in lighting design;
- Record of achievement in design research or professional practice;
- Basic visual communications skills: perspective, rendering, rapid visualization, and graphics and
- Knowledge of current critical and theoretical issues

Duties:
- Teach lower and upper-division courses in design foundation, visualization skills, and specialized design studios
- Advise students
- Develop curriculum
- Conduct design research
- Actively participate in the governance processes of the Department of Design, the College of the Arts, and the University
