Company Secretary by name one would feel that it’s a course who wish to become a Private Secretary in the company. But its not true though the name given to the course is Company Secretary which is also called as the CS . The role of the certified CS in the companies is very different. CS is a professional who looks after the legal issues and matters of the companies like liasoning, court disputes etc. The work of the CS is to handle the legal department of the company. It has become mandate on the parts of the companies to appoint a certified CS as per the companies act.
Every year 1 lakh certified CS are required in the industry.
A person who wish to make a career in CS can either take an admission after 12th or can take an admission after completing graduation degree.
As you want to take an admission after graduation you need to register with the ICSI institute. You can do the registration at the nearby CS chapter. After graduation student do not need to give an CS foundation exam. You can apply for the CS executive exam.
There are no colleges or institutes for this course.
Law is the good combination along with the CS course. Companies demand CS to have a Law Degree. Having a Law degree will give you a good career scope and demand and opportunities. A Law degree is of 3 years after graduation.
After graduation there are exemptions given in the subjects for CS executive for that you can check with the CS chapter.
