Law is one of the traditional careers which is very widely practiced in India since long time.  Many of the students they are attracted to this career because of its popularity and the respect that it holds.  In the last few decades Law as a profession has undergone trough many changes in the recent times.  Law traditionally was practiced only in the court rooms but now law is also very much practiced out of the courts and also into various fields like medical, industries, corporate, Banks, Insurance, Financial institutes etc. Law is a 5 years or the 3 years course.  Students who take an admission after 12^th std. for them the law course is of 5 years while if a student takes an admission after graduation degree them the course is of 3 years.  To take an admission for the law degree a student needs to give an Law entrance exam like any of these CLAT, LSAT, ULSAT etc. usually the law courses they are offered as the regular full time college degree these are no colleges or universities which offers the law course in correspondence or distance mode of education.  If you want to take an admission for the Law degree you will be needed to go for the regular college degree program.  While take an admission for any of the Law school check whether it is a UGC and AIBE approved institute or not AIBE approval is very much necessary for the Law school.
