want to know about HM
Hotel Management falls into the Hospitality industry.
As such to pursue Hotel management, you need to clear an entrance exam post class 12th any stream.
Hotel Management is 3 years course. But please note that its just not theory course, but followed by practicals too. Morning you would be attending lecture followed by working in the hotels as an intern in the evening.
Please note that this is not 9 to 5 kind of job. It is shift job and involves night shift too, mainly at the initial stage.
As such, during the internship, you would be exposed to all the departments of the hotel right from Front desk to Food and Beverage to Guest relation executive to Laundry
Exposure to all the department, entails jobs at the ground levels too. Since after you complete the course, you would be taken in as Manager of department and as manager to be able to supervise the juniors, you need to know the job at the basic level.
In addition to the degree, getting few certificates in baking, beverages etc can help you finding jobs and other opportunities too.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...
