In other corporates, job profile of MIS is slightly different as follow:

There is a scope for MIS in the IT industry. The purpose of MIS is to help the smooth running of the business by providing information on the data from different levels so that decisions can be made to ensure that the business remains competitive and successful. Specifically, MIS is created to support the whole range of business administration and regulatory activities using IT system.
In IT industry has overlapping job profiles. Potential career titles include network and computer systems administrator, IT officer, computer systems analyst and computer and information systems manager or MIS officer.
The scope within the role are ultimately dependent on the employing organisation and the complexity of its information systems.
