News Readers are a part of the Media world.
Thus after 12th any stream, you would have to chose Mass Media or the BMM course. Few colleges conduct an entrance tests.
During the Graduation, you could choose Journalism. Please note that Journalism includes both Print ( newspaper) and Visual ( reporters) media.
Please note that once you join a media firm, you will not join as a reporter initially. You would first begin with editing or being a trainee.
Post that based on your liking and interests and calibre you will get your desired role.
As such to be a news Reader, the main important quality you need is the skills of Anchoring. You cannot be camera conscious.
Good articulation capacity, as well as good comprehension capacity. AT the sametime knowledge of all fields is a must.
Try conducting shows in your area or in college. This will give you the needed confidence.
