Due to several reasons, a student chooses a long-distance education, and for a long time, online education was not that popular. It was considered not the proper way of getting knowledge. It was generally thought that for receiving knowledge and education, one must attend physically in a classroom. The admissions are conducted twice a year for both secondary and senior secondary levels. They also release the date sheet for classes 10th and 12th every year. NIOS Result for class 10th are generally released in March and 12th in October. NIOS fees structure is feasible as the tuition fee ranges within 2000 INR and additional costs for the institute’s examinations. Open Schooling is gaining popularity among regular students as there are more potential and conventional combinations than the regular 12th class.

There are two options for an Indian student to clear their typical school equivalent of the standard 10th and the 12th class exams through Open Schools. The most popular open school system present in India is the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Students can appear for both 10th and 12th-grade examinations by paying minimal registration and examinations fees. This type of education offers more flexibility and freedom for a student in learning around a comfortable environment. The National Institute of Open Schooling provides approximately 27 subjects, including English and 16 other languages at the secondary level. There are almost 23 subjects, including English and five other languages for the senior secondary level. The Open Basic Education (OBE) program is for all age groups, and there are three levels of Schooling: OBE level A which is equivalent to class I-III, OBE level B that is equivalent to class IV-V, and OBE level C which is for class VI-VIII. The fees structure of NIOS is very feasible due to which students opt for this education. Moreover, NIOS Result over the years have shown a good pass percentage.
