The Student Academic Management System (SAMS) is an integrated portal that provides a common platform for admission into various courses across the state of Odisha through e-Admission and also several e-Services to students at institution level through e-Administration.

It was conceived and planned jointly by the Higher Education and IT Departments of the Government of Odisha. The IT support is provided by OCAC through its implementing partner. Initially, it was funded from the 12th Finance Commission Grant. It is now being funded through a sustainability model.

The syllabus is the same for both the Phase I and Phase II exams. However, the difficulty level of the questions in the Phase II exam is higher than the Phase I exam.
