The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) is a statutory body established by the Government of Goa under the Goa, Daman and Diu Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1975. The board is responsible for conducting examinations for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) courses in the state of Goa. The board was established in 1975 to provide a uniform system of education in Goa. The board conducts examinations for SSC and HSSC courses in both the English and Marathi mediums. The board also conducts examinations for the Certificate of Elementary Education (CEE) and the Diploma in Elementary Education (DEE).

The Goa Board Result 2023 has already been announced on May 20, 2023.

You can check your result through the following ways:

  1. Online:
    • Visit the official website of the GBSHSE: https://gbshse.gov.in/
    • Click on the “Results” tab.
    • Select the exam you have appeared for.
    • Enter your registration number and date of birth.
    • Click on the “Submit” button.
    • Your result will be displayed on the screen.
  2. SMS:
    • Type an SMS in this format:

    • Your Goa Board result will be sent as an SMS on the same number.

    • Enter your registration number and date of birth.
    • Your result will be announced over the phone.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for appearing for the Goa Board examinations are as follows:

    1. For SSC:
      • The candidate should have passed the Class 8 examination from a recognized school.
      • The candidate’s age should be 14 years or above on or before the 1st day of July of the year of examination.
    2. For HSSC:
      • The candidate should have passed the SSC examination from a recognized board.
      • The candidate’s age should be 16 years or above on or before the 1st day of July of the year of examination.

In addition to the above, the candidate must also meet the following requirements:

      • The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the previous examination with at least 33% marks in each subject and 33% aggregate marks.
      • The candidate must have a good moral character and must not have been expelled from any school or college.

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has not yet released the application form for the Goa Board Examinations 2023. The application form is usually released in the month of April or May of the year preceding the examination.

The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the GBSHSE. The application form can also be obtained from the schools affiliated to the board.

The application form must be filled in by the candidate or their parent/guardian.

The application form must be accompanied by the following documents:

GOA Board Application Fee
