Yes, of course you can apply in Indian Army after completing your B.SC. degree. To apply for these programs, firstly you have to participate in CDS and NDA Examination. The full name of CDS is Combined Defence Service and this entrance examination is organized by the Department of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). NDA stands for National Defence Academy. Exams will be held twice in a year as namely CDS-part 1st (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE) and CDS-part 2nd (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE). Anyone can join these following Defence Services by cleared the exam of Combined Defense Service. Air force Academy, Military Academy, Naval academy, Officer Training academy and Air force academy. Eligibility criteria for CDS (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE): Candidate should have a degree in engineering of CDS (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE) examination and that degree in engineering from any recognized university or must be its equivalent degree or bachelor of science degree (with PCM). Candidate minimum age must have 19 years and maximum age must be not more than 23 years, and there is no relaxation of age is allowed for the candidate. Only single/unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply in India Army or the air force. Eligibility criteria required by Naval Academy: Candidate should have a full time graduate degree with any stream from any recognized college or university. The candidate who appearing in final year is also eligible to participate in India Army or air force exam. This year (2016) CDS-part 1st (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE) notification was already announced and the examination was also already done of first phase. Candidate wait till the next notification will be published in the month of June in the official website of CDS. How to apply for CDS? Online application process consist of two parts. The candidate can apply for only online application through their official website, and there is no offline application available. Application fee just has to pay Rs. 100 in any of following modes of payments: Payment via Internet banking, Master/Visa / credit / Debit Cards, SBI bank, etc. There is no any fee charges for female candidates who are belonging to ST/SC category. Syllabus for CDS exam: Mathematics, GS and English Language.
