I can see you want your daughter to be a civil servant or petro-chemical engineer based on your set criteria. I do understand the common concerns of parents for their kids and ultimate desire for the best--well understood. In due course of such disperation people usually forget the interest of aspirants and academic strength, I wish you are awared of the facts and accordingly you are grooming your child for the said destinations.

First you make it clear with the consent, interest, and understanding of your daughter that whether she wants to opt career in petrochemical or civil services or first opt engineering career then join civil services.

I do appreciate your effort and dream for your child which will prove a panacea for her further preparation.

Now come to the preparatory phase that is the pre-requisite for realization:

1. Ask her to read NCERT books along with the ongoing schooling material either ICSE or CBSE or other board but NCERT gives the elemental knowledge with clarity. In fact this is the right time to incubate the essential stuffs required for both purposes.
2. General criteria of such dignified job is to set your own statement in term of aptitude where one has to develop the contemporary thoughts and aquire the potential to receprocate accordingly. At present you are there as a father, friend, guide and phillospher to trnasmit all these essential seeds into her mind before taking your dream one step ahead.
3. Next level you must be knowing that depends on her school record at 10th level wchih will decide her undergrad study either in humanities (arts), sciences, technology/engineering or something else but all these routes are open for civil services. Start to follow her report card where she is scoring the best but be careful about her appraoch and attitude for that subject where she is the best whether she attempts it naturally or by compulsion. Here your role is very crucial discuss the matter in teacher parents meeting and then ask her to take a lead accordingly, it does not mean rest subjects are useless. You must be knowing at interveiw level for any job panel use to analyze the report of school standard where final assessment is determined.
