Dear Aspirant,

Your confusion is justified.

It appears that you love maths and would love to be in that field for your life. Congratulations, since there are not many who think like this.

Few students today feel and choose to formally study mathematics instead of engineering, etc.

Maths as a subject is a niche area and there are companies in IT, R & D, Science which require Mathematicians to solve and develop businesses.

As a MSc Maths I definitely feel that there is a great scope in the subject and there are high salaries which are paid to MSc Math in the industry.

Mathematicians are required banking, actuarial studies, insurance, finance, IT.

Actuarial Studies can be a great option for you after BSc Maths. Actuarial Science is an area related to risk calculation and there are very very few Actuaries in India which get a salary of Rs. 1,00,000 per month as fresher.
I suggest you to visit Actuarial Society of India website www.actuariesindia.org for the courses.

Best wishes
