Hi...my name is swati.i am currently pursuing ca.my ca final exam is due in november 2015.so till that time I am pursuing my ca compulsory traning which is known as articleship and also studying for my ca final exam. but I am not satisfied with my career as I want to gain an extra edge.so along with preparing for my ca fianl exams I want to get another degree or certificate.like I have thought of many career options as CFA,FINANCIAL RISK MANAGEMENT.Now the question is what should I choose CFA OR FRM?...CFA is a degree course and FRM is a certification course.but I do not know that if I choose CFA, will I be able to clear it?...so m a little scared of opting it though I am gud at my studies but I do not know anyone who is pursuing CFA so I am a little confused:(....also if I go for FRM ...I m not afraid of it?...so can you help me out with this query...or if there is some other better option than these two which you can suggest?....i want a to pursue a course with CA hat when I vill complete CA I can apply outside INDIA as well...and also get very good career prospects within INDIA as well.

Well, future course after CA depends on you career goal. You can work as an independent consultant or full time employee with consultancy firm or corporates or in academia. Also, you need to determine area of work: accounting, taxation, costing, and corporate law
Based on your interest, you can do Cost Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), IFRS, MBA and also do PhD without doing any masters course. If you are interested in academics or research, you can do PhD.
For practice and good job, CFA, IFRS would have good scope in India as well as abroad.
