Dear Aspirant,

C'mon cheer up!

Not doing Engineering from IITs or NITs is not at all a drawback as far as your career is concerned. Not everybody graduates from IITs and NITs but almost everybody can lead a good career in future. Always remember how good you are as an engineer matters the most and not only the Institute from which you are doing engineering. Definitely you should always aim for top institutes for best gain, however, you can become successful and a good engineer by doing engineering from an average engineering college. Yes, 74% is a low score in science stream and I would instead suggest that you should make it more confirmed whether really engineering is what suits you as per your aptitude, interests, innate skills and potential.

Engineering had and will always have bright career prospects. Only thing important is whether you are bright and suitable enough to be a good engineer?

I feel, based on the current score of JEE you should go ahead and take admission into a good college of engineering and start your education. There is no reason to get depressed.

After you start your engineering course, you should also take efforts to build your own engineering knowledge, skills for getting employed and also be aware of the new changes in technology in the world which is a must.

Best wishes

Hello Deepanshu.. No need to worry even after such a good score in 12th. Why not to the other institutes for engineering other than IIT and NIT, but with the same learning environmet and infrastructure. India is having a lot of institutes in private and public sector which are offering same quality of education as IITs. Few of them are Delhi Technological university, Jamia Millia Islamia, VIT university, Lovely Professional University, IP university etc.

These institutes are good in their infrastructure, modern class rooms and placement records. SO you can apply for your interested engineering stream and get admission. Your score in 12th, or in university entrance/eligibility tests or JEE score are the criteria for admission. Admission in institutes like LPU helps you to avail scholarships also,. Visit the websites of such institutes and apply fast as the admission time is about to the end in almost institutes. Best Wishes.
