JEE Main and Advanced syllabus
Dear Aspirant,
IT Engineering has good scope in India as well as globally. IT Engineering and Computer Science Engineering are definitely different.
In simple terms, Computer Science is about the brain of a computer and IT engineering is about the practical solutions like Programming, Coding, etc.
Both have excellent scope. Only important thing is to decide according to your capability, aptitude, which engineering to select.
I would recommend post graduation from abroad.
Best wishes
Hello Abhinav
Both CSE and IT have good scope in India and abroad. However, the competition in this field has increased if you compare with past few years.
When you look from syllabus point of view, most of the subjects are similar to both the branches. The only thing is they are taught in different semesters. Generally a CS engineer can work on both hardware and software profiles. An IT engineer is preferred for software oriented jobs. In placements, both the streams are treated equal. The GATE exam is conducted together for both the branches under subject named as ‘Computer Science and Information Technology’.
You may choose any of these two branches if you have aptitude towards engineering and interest towards things like programming, coding etc.
All the best
Dear Student, both B.Tech CSE and B.Tech. IT are almost at par and there is not much difference between the two. The slightest difference is - CSE is more or less software oriented and focuses on foundations of computing and is widely used for programming, on the other hand IT is more focused on Techniques and applications, and helps solve problems. To check the wider scope, it may be observed and reinforced here that IT has a far more relevance to fly abroad. If you have made up your mind to choose IT, then it is surely a wise decision, go for it, good luck. These institutions may be considered for admission - VIT University, Vellore,..................................Manipal Technical Institute, Manipal,..............................Lovely Professional University, Phagwara,..............................
In order to post replies to the question: "I would like to choose engineering in IT. Could you please provide information about its scope in and outside india. And how it differ from engg. In cse"
