I took admission in a private college for graduation course, I was asked to submit original documents&certificates and being dumb I did so, due to some reasons I couldn't complete my studies further and my college in first my semster only... now they are denying to give me my documents back and asking for full course fees.. what to do now.. koi toh baata do yaar, I'm not applying for duplicate documents as it requires F.I.R. and all stuff I'm scared about any legal issue.. kya karu... You deserve to get your originals , so don't apply for duplicates.But at the same time you need not be afraid of the legal things. Take a print out of the notice and enclose it with a letter to the director of your college. I am sure it will work and they will return it back to you. Else, you need to consult an advocate and a legal notice will definitely get back your documents without any further hassles. The legal advisor will guide you further. I hope this answers your query.

If the terms and conditions which you or your parent has signed at the time of admission mentions that no fees or full fees to be paid for any cancellation of admission post commencement of the course, then you have to pay the total fees and then you will get your certificates in your hands.
It is actually illegal to retain the original certificates under the civil law.
