Hi There,

Very interesting question.

But I would like to tell you, that when a particular position or role has nothing new to offer, saturation steps in.

Coming to your question.

Marketing are the people who are the face of a product to the masses.
Whether it is word of mouth or face to face with customers or over mobiles or via the virtual medium.
A customer needs to be educated about a product.

If all candidates passing from a B-School brings about only theoretical knowledge and is not ready to fight the battle right from the scratch Yes, there would be a saturation. You will not find jobs.

Please note, you have written Manager, but as a fresher, just after an MBA, may be till 2 years, you would be enrolled as a Trainer followed by an executive position.
To achieve the managerial position, knowing the basics is utterly important.

Also please note that, to market a product you need to know its basic, right from raw products to the final products, its content and packaging etc.

So in-case if you happen to change your domain, or industry, you begin from the scratch level again.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck...........
