Aerospace engineering is one of the most challenging and technically advanced fields which deals with design and development of aircraft, missilies, rockets to space and satellite research and anything that flies.

As per your Query, now you should try to be expert in mathematics and physics. You should learn discilpline as there is zero tolerance of even a minor mistake in this field and safety standards are quite high , as a minor mistake might lead to a fatal accidenting ending several lives. Try to develop your mathematical, logical reasoning, organising, problem solving, analyzing and creativity which will help you to be successfull.

You can go for a diploma in aerospace and aeronautics available at polytechniques or go for +2. In you plus two, you need Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have fairly higher percentage of marks in aggregate and prepare for JEE exams as well. Candiadtes should qualify JEE mains and advanced to make it to good institutes like IIT's, NIT's and other good institutes and universities. Then you should have a B.E./ B.Tech in Aerospace or a degree in electronics, mathematics, Physics and Computer Science can also help you. You can go for Associate membership exams AMIE conducted by Aeronautical Society of India(ASI) and this degree is also equivalent to aeronautics or aerospace degree.

This field has immense job opportunity and wide scope of growth.Jobs are on the offer in Govt. enterprises like ISRo, DRDO, HAL, NAL , IAF. There is no dearth of opportunity for those who wish to work abroad. A large percentage of scientist of NASA are Indians and same with Aerospace giants like BOEing, Mc Donnell, Godrej. You can also work with airlines like Jet Airways, Indian Airlines, Air India etc.

This job requires manual, technical as well as mechanical aptitude . So , I would suggest you to go for a career assessment test with careerguide.com so that you have a clear picture of your personality, needs, and aptitudes and how fit you are for this discipline. The eligibility criteria for BE/ Btech program in aviation engineering are as mentioned below:

  • Second is the minimum percentage you should score is 60% sixty percent in aggregate of all subjects.

  • Some considere 50 % percenatge minimum in physics subject.

  • Than it is mandatory to qualify the joint entrance exams (JEE) conducted by IITs Indian institute of technology. it is a national level exam, you can also apply for state level entrance exams

  • BE/ Btech is a 3-4 years program for the same course, diploma courses are also there which will be 2-3 years only.

Apart from these there are other institutes who conduct their own entrance exams for selection of students both state and national level entrance exams

But most of colleges considered the JEE as the qualified grades for aviation courses.

Hope above all answered your query and now you need to work and hard secure good marks in your ten plus two to apply fir the entrance exams and go for it and secure your future in aviation

All the best for your bright future and success in life
