Hi Friend,


JEE Main is a engineering admission test for National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Information technology and Centrally Funded University.

JEE Mains was earlier known as AIEEE ( All India Engineering Entrance Exams).

JEE mains has been Introduced for the first time in the year 2013 and thus there is very minimum history available for us to actually predict the cut off Marks for getting admission to NIT, IIIT.

Let us first understand the process of admission to NIT, it has 2 Factors which would be very important

BOARD MARKS : For admission in to NIT the new formula suggested have a weight age to the Board exams given by student, Suppose you are CBSE student then you would have 40% weightage for your Board Exams

JEE MAIN : You would have to score above the minimum cutoff to appear for admission in to JEE Advance level and for NITs you would have to score in few thousand student.

Based on the experience of last year if any student who get above 90% in CBSE (Other board relative percentile value would differ from board to board) and with that if you score 150+ in jee main you would stand a chance to get in to NIT, this would be in home state and for other state it would differ since home state would have 50% reservation for student from that state.
