Explain on best practices and guidelines for taking career counseling through telephone
- Be in a place where network connectivity is good
- Be in a silent , non-noisy place - where others will not be able to disturb you
- Be in front of your computer - login on CareerGuide so that you can receive notification on student's profile & career report
- Introduce yourself to the student- on the call
- Ask for brief on student's background ( though we will share notification to you with student's profile and his psychometric report )
- Explain psychometric profile to student and ask him/her on specific questions they have to ask
- Be patient, exhibit good listening skills
- Don't hurry or speak fast
- Keep discussion relevant with examples
- Don't promote any product/service from any educational institute
- Don't promote any admission consultancy or pass an information which is promotional in nature
- Anything which you are not sure of - you can always politely let student know that you will do your research and will get back to them/write to them about it
- Ask caller if they are comfortable in language you are speaking in
- Let students know they can call back later if they have more questions - and system will be able to connect them back to you. (As we have smart technology! ïŠ )
