There are plenty of work and responsibilities for a hotel manager in their day to day lives. Below is the list of those work and responsibilities,


1. Hotel Managers have to ensure that the operations are right on place. For that they have to meet the staff members early morning every day and ensure that everything is right on place. They need to gather the resources and make them available whenever and wherever the requirement arises.

2. They have to plan and decide upon the course of action for the day. They cannot afford to miss any important point during planning and therefore has to be done carefully. They involve other staff members in this process and take their opinions on every action item.

3. Hotel Managers have to guide and lead the hotel staff in order to fulfill the planned activities. They provide the instructions to the staff and show them how to do those planned tasks. Every now and then they have to keep a check on whether everything is right on place or not.

4. Hotel Managers have to meet their clients every day. This is an important part of their work and the kind of impression that they leave on clients often determines their quality of service. Therefore they need to follow set of instructions while interacting with clients. They need to be polite, patient and energetic during these interactions.

5. The hotel managers are also required to meet the senior management and the board of directors on regular basis. They need to show the progress regularly and how things are going according to the plans. They also have to show them the reports and their analysis on various parameters in order to explain their point. This is important work and is done with great care.

4. They have to manage people and resources all the time. Therefore their management skills are testes every now and then and they have to come out good. They need to devise the right methods to manage the resources in their hotel which can add to productivity.
