China is the world’s most populous country and one of the earliest civilizations. In the present scenario, there are 13 cities across China with more than 10,000 international students, with seven cities having more than 20,000 students in popular cities including Guangdong in the south of China and Liaoning, north of Beijing. 1.Tsinghua University:
Tsinghua University is a major research university in Beijing, the capital of China and is a member of the elite C9 League including other affiliations with AEARU, APRU and MISA. It was established in the year 1911 and now has a community of over 50,000 students. It was ranked at the 20th position by QS World University Rankings 2021, 13th at World Reputation Rankings 2020 and 1st in Asia University Rankings 2020.
The university offers 50 Bachelor’s Degree programs, 139 Master’s Degree Programs and 107 Doctoral Programs via 20 Colleges and 57 Departments that covers an extensive range of subjects including arts and literature, social sciences, law, medicine, science and engineering. 2. Fudan University:
Fudan University is a major public research university in the most populous urban area and third most populous city of China – Shanghai. It was established in the year 1905 and is considered one of the most prestigious and selective universities not only in China but worldwide. The University is affiliated with C9 League (elite member), Universitas 21, AEARU, APRU, BRICS Universities League, Council on Business & Society, Washington University in St. Louis and McDonnell International Scholars Academy. Sudan University has a considerable contribution in subjects like (Chinese) humanities, chemistry, natural sciences and medical studies.
It is globally ranked at the 31st position by QS World, regionally on the 6th position by QS Asia and nationally on the 5th position by BCUR National. It is also featured among the world’s top universities in 30 subjects and according to 2021 QS World University, the university was ranked among the top 50 in the world for subjects like Social Sciences, Management, Natural Science and Engineering & Technology whereas under 100 globally in and Humanities and Life Science and Medicines related fields.
3. Peking University:
Peking University is a prestigious research institution belonging to the C9 Elite League, it was established in the year 1898 as Imperial University of Peking and is located in Beijing. Other than the C9 League, it is affiliated with IARU, AALAU, AEARU, APRU, BESETOHA and McDonnell International Scholars Academy. Every year approximately 7000 International students are accepted and study at this University including many from Western Europe, North America, and South America, Asia, Australia and African countries.
The university has also produced numerous notable politicians more than any other University in China has and among them, 88 serves in the government at vice-ministerial positions or higher. There are also Noble Laureates and other notable alumni of different fields. Peking University has also revealed the “Global Excellence Strategy” which intends for strengthening International cooperation, overcome development barriers, collect global resources and enable collegial relationships. By World University ranking 2021, Peking University is in 21st position globally and by Beijing Rank 2021 it has secured the 2nd position.
