Let’s go through a story for a better understanding of what environmental engineering is. This story is about the movie 2012, this movie talks about how the world will come to an end. The movie starts with some scenes and after that, there is a scene where we see a scientist who predicts that something abnormal is happening. He predicts this with the help of some statistical data, graphs, images, and charts. After that, we see that several changes keep on occurring in various parts of the world.

The Earth’s surface starts to tremble, there is a massive rise in the water level in every ocean on the Earth, the active volcanoes erupt massively and cause mass destruction and many more events keep on occurring on the surface of the Earth. After that we see two scientists/researchers discussing together on a topic and they conclude by that, “The World is going to end; yes it is”. The film progresses massively with the ending of the whole world and starting a new era of the beginning of life on Earth.

There are a lot of factors discussed when it comes to the end of the Earth which include factors such as Global Warming, Ozone Layer Depletion, Rising Pollution Levels, Deforestation, Rising Temperature Levels, Increased CO2 emissions, and more such reasons. The scientists/researchers whom we were talking about were the Environmental Engineers. Environmental Engineering is defined as, “the branch of engineering which studies the Natural and Man-Made changes happening all over the globe. The only job of this engineer is to study these Natural and Man-Made changes happening on the Earth and making the public aware of what is happening or what will happen to the Earth in the coming years.

They also suggest various ways to get rid of the dreadful events which will happen on the Earth in the due course. The job of an Environmental Engineer is very tough but it is a much-respected job among the Engineering Jobs in India. This might be because an Environmental Engineer gets to save the lives of several people by applying his knowledge, experience, and expertise in saving the livelihood on the Earth.

The plans for becoming an Environmental Engineer began right from when you complete your tenth standard education. You will have to apply for the Environmental Engineering Undergraduate course in any of the renowned colleges in India. The basic benefit of applying for the course in the Environmental Engineering Discipline is that you sometimes do not need to give JEE Examination because the number of Environmental Engineering Degree offering colleges is so less that the only requirement is to have a good % of marks in 12th standard. The Undergraduate course of Environmental Engineering is for 4 Years and also has a compulsory Internship to be completed in the last semester. For having a good career in Environmental Engineering a student must choose a college that offers a good internship in the Last Semester which is compulsory.

Also, he should check whether the colleges offer good opportunities for Field visits/Laboratory Training/Case studies and many more such opportunities. After completing these 4 years of engineering a student can apply for 2 years of M.Tech studies but he should apply to a good college otherwise can opt for a job. The reason for this is that with good colleges come good facilities and that particular college can improvise your knowledge and give you the perfect required education. Here also we should focus on Institutes that have a more practical approach rather than imparting bookish theoretical knowledge. While studying for M.Tech the main aim of the studying must be towards focusing on work such as Field Visit/Laboratory Training/Case Study and many more such other things.

Success Environment
