Restaurants and hotels would be examples of two big ones, but there are a lot more out there too, like cruise ships or even amusement parks. A career in hospitality can offer many different opportunities for those who want to work with people and enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment. There are no set qualifications required for this type of job, but it’s always best if someone has some form of education before they start their search.

As you can imagine, there are many different job options. Entry level jobs might include working as an event planner or front desk agent and there are many more positions available for those who want to pursue a higher level of work in the hospitality field. A person could be responsible for making sure that guests have everything they need while also being hospitable, arranging meetings, managing inventory, doing PR and marketing, and more.
Pay range:
Once a person has found the perfect job, they will begin working to deliver excellent customer service through both verbal communication and physical amenities like food or drink. It’s often best if someone who is interested in this area of work knows what they want out of it from the beginning and they have a clear understanding of the expectations. The pay scale in hospitality varies by the type of establishment an individual is working for and the level of experience they have with that particular company. A security officer working for a hotel chain, for example, might earn $18-$24 per hour, whereas entry-level hotel positions can pay $16 to $22 per hour.
