What is textile engineering?

The study of various principles and techniques from the scientific and engineering knowledge that is carried out in the production and processing of textile fabrics, fibres and yarns is known as Textile Engineering. The study of physical and chemical principles in chemical engineering helps in the study and analysis of polymers. Textile engineering is in high demand because of the diverse cultures and traditions in the world. B.Tech In Textile Engineering

B.Tech in Textile Engineering is an undergraduate program that students can pursue after class 12. It is a four-year course divided into eight semesters.

To be eligible for B.Tech in textile engineering students must have passed class 12th examination or equivalent examination with 50 per cent aggregate marks with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology from a recognised university.

The admission for B.Tech program is done through engineering entrance exams such as Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main), All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) etc.

M.Tech In Textile Engineering

M.Tech is a postgraduate program that students can pursue after completion of a B.Tech degree. It is a two-year masters course divided into 4 semesters. To be eligible for M.Tech students should hold a B.Tech degree with a minimum aggregate score of 55 per cent from a recognised institute.

Admission will be granted for M.Tech program on the basis of the candidate’s performance in GATE.
