Students from all fields of a career run after good publications to boost their CV. Here publications are not meant to be publications at advertising sites but they are meant to be publications which are related to a field of study or a recent development of national interest on which the author provides his or her opinion and analysis. Here are a few points that should be kept in mind before one attempts to pursue Publications.
Blogs or journals affiliated to an institution
It is always better to send one’s work to blogs and journals which are affiliated to a government or a renowned private institution rather than sending one’s work to private or independent blogs and journals. Authorised blogs and generally have more value to add to your CV than private ones rather than those started by individual professionals or students.

Style of writing
When one sends one’s work for Publication, the pieces which are of a very descriptive nature are hardly selected as they do not add any value to the journal or blog and it is only a piece of good research. In order to grab a Publication it is very necessary that one’s writing must have one’s opinion supported with good facts or an in-depth analysis as the major part of the writing rather than the description.
The history and the background story of the topic must be finished in a few words to give more attention to the analysis or opinion. Pieces which have logical solutions are always given a preference. The solutions must not be very generic in nature or ones which can be presumed through common sense but they should be technical and directly related to the subject matter rather than being related to an overview of the subject matter. They should be the idea of the author even though it might not be a definitely correct solution.
Corrections and Feedback
The authors have to be prompt to make corrections whenever the Editorial Board replies to a submission. Many submissions which have been placed under contingent selection on the basis of corrections to be made by authors as per the suggestions of the editors are left out because either the corrections are not made properly or the corrected document is not sent promptly. Also, one must look for suggestions which are perennial in nature or point out a general flaw in the very style of writing or presentation of the author for further submissions at any forum.
Formatting and Presentation
Each submission forum has a different set of rules and regulations of content and also gives out the details which must be mentioned while making a submission and the formats in which the publication has to be made. The authors must stay in close touch with the call for papers on articles and comply with all the guidelines set forth.
Formatting the document is an important aspect. Generally the formatting guidelines are as follows: font- Times New Roman, line spacing- 1.5 point, justified alignment, font size-12 in main text and 14 in headings. However, different places might have little deviations from these general guidelines also.
