Judiciary : A judicial officer is the conventional judge. This career begins after clearing the respective State Judiciary Examinations. The initial years of such a career are spent in the district courts for a long time after which the officers get promoted to the High Courts and finally to the Supreme Court depending on exceptional performance and experience in the field.

Legal Consultant/Advisor:
The population of the country is not very aware of the legal provisions and safeguards provided to the citizens. This is because of the critical codification of the laws and the tough legal language used. Apart from that, the laws are very abundant and difficult for a common man to comprehend. This is exactly the reason why the profession of a legal advisor not just to the common masses but also the infant startups is a booming profession.

There is a great demand for journalists who are qualified in law. This is for the easy comprehension and presentation of latest amendments in the Indian law. Arbitration and Mediation is an alternative to litigation and it reduces the burden on the courts to solve cases throughout the long processes of litigation just like Lok Adalats do. Every High Court has a different division for Arbitration and Mediation and has licensed Arbitrators and Mediators who carry out the same duty. Nowadays, private mediation and arbitration firms are also popping up and it helps solve some very big shot cases relating to business outside the Court. The advantage is speedy and cheap dispute resolution. Along with this, ODR or Online Dispute Resolution is also an emerging field in the law profession. Many countries too, nowadays, move ahead to solve their disputes via the cordial method of mediation and arbitration in the place of lengthy litigation.
