The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force train together before they go on to their respective service academy for further pre-commission training. Eligibility criteria for NDA

The eligibility criteria for the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam are as follows:

  • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Age Limit: The candidate must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years old. For the NDA I 2024 exam, candidates should be born between July 2, 2005, to January 1, 2009. For the NDA II 2024 exam, candidates should be born between January 2, 2006, to July 1, 2009.
  • Educational Qualification: For Army Wing of NDA: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards set by the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.
  • Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates awaiting 10+2 exam results are also eligible to apply.

  • Learn Syllabus Carefully: Learn every topic covered in the syllabus, including the chapters, poetry, grammatical rules, and composition subjects. Make sure you are prepared for the exam.

Q- What is the exam pattern for the NDA Mathematics paper?

A-

  • The NDA Mathematics paper consists of objective type questions.
  • The paper is divided into two sections: Mathematics-I and Mathematics-II.
  • Each section is of 300 marks, with a total of 600 marks for the Mathematics paper.
  • The duration of each section is 2.5 hours.

Q- Was NDA 2022 tough?

 A- A majority of questions were asked from current affairs, polity, history, geography, etc. All the questions were based on NDA syllabus. The overall difficulty level of NDA 1 2022 exam was easy to moderate.

Q- Is A Hard Copy Of The NDA Admit Card Sent To Candidates By Post?

A- The hard copy of NDA admit card is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates need fo download their ad, mit cards online by logging with the required credentials. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of their admit cards to the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates are not allowed to enter the exam hall. Alomg with the NDA admit card, candidates need to carry the required photo-identity proof. 

Q- Is NDA 2 easier than NDA 1?

A- NDA 2 exam is much easier than NDA 1 exam. In 2022, the difficulty level of NDA 1 GAT paper was moderate to difficult. The difficulty level of the Mathematics paper was moderate. The difficulty level of NDA 2 Maths paper was easy whereas the GAT paper was moderate to difficult.
