Am I eligible to do ms(comp sc.)from abroad after a 3 year bsc(hons) computer science course? tell me in which countries I can apply?? what are the total entrance exam for that?? what is the procedure?? do I need to take coachings from them? what is the chance of getting scholarship and what is competition level in them? please guide me

Yes, there are top countries and top institutions abroad that happily accepts students with a BSc background for a MSc admission. So please feel relaxed about this. Honestly, UK is the country that happily admits students with a three year bachelors background and they have no restrictions most often. So I would sincerely advice you to target only this country for admissions. Because most of the countries like USA, Singapore, Canada demands a four year Bachelors degree or at least 16 years of minimum education. Wherein almost all the UK Universities will happily admit you for a MSc and certain or infact very few Australian universities will admit you with a BSc background.

So start preparing for UK admissions right from now as this is the crucial time. UK Universities close admissions by mid June for international students and their college usually starts late September or early October. Once you get your offer letter you will have at least 45 days to prepare for a visa. Some of the top colleges for MSc Computer science in UK are:
  • University of Cambridge
  • University of Oxford
  • University of Edinburgh
  • University of Manchester
  • University of Bristol
  • University of Nottingham
  • University of Glasgow
  • University of Southampton
(All the above universities definitely demand a minimum of 85% and above in your 12th level and also at BSc level, in case you have less than 85%, then your chances are minimum to get placed at these top universities).

Suppose you have a percentage between 70 - 80% in both your 12th level and BSc level, then you can consider applying to these universities.

Rest any of the UK universities will accept you with a score of above 60% itself. So please understand in which band of scores you fall between and apply accordingly.

The only exam you need to prepare for UK MSc admissions is IELTS exam. It is an English language testing exam and it tests whether you can read, write, speak and listen English while you are studying your MSc. The minimum score students should score in this exam is 6.0 overall and no band should go below 5.5. To write this exam, you can go for IELTS coaching class and then write the exam. You can contact local British council or visit www.ielts.org to book the exam. Please spend at least two weeks to prepare for the exam to get a good score.

Scholarships depends upon the university and each university will give you a minimum of 1000 to 3000 pounds as scholarships depending on your BSc percentage. 1000 Pounds is equivalent to 1lakh and 3000 pounds is equivalent to 3lakh scholarships.
