Hi Naman,

First of all to take admission in engineering you must pass your 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics subject. If you have done 12th with this subject, then surely you may do engineering in mechanical branch or any other branch. There are some institutes/universities that provide diploma/degree engineering course in correspondence, but there is a huge difference between regular and correspondence engineering. Any organization prefers candidate who has done engineering in regular basis. So, it will be difficult for you to find out a good job after your engineering in correspondence.

I would suggest you to take admission in engineering course in regular basis. Mechanical engineering is a very good course of engineering. Don't mess it by taking admission in a correspondence course until and unless you are doing any job in the concerned field because the correspondence study is only beneficial with work experience.
