Hello samita,
Hope you dont mind me answering in dipti mams place.
As rightly said students these days are inclined towards media and social networking field.
Guiding these students is difficult but not impossible. Parents need to make some turnover. As a family, communicating is a must. Start or dedicate sometime for communication and open sharing.
Another essential is timing. Time every activity of your child.
Enrol the kid in productive activity like chess, or other games, music etc the child is interested in.
Most important, ask questions and encourage the child to research. Let him into searching or exploring, it will help him learn better.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck...
.
Dear Aspirant,
Students are very casual in their career choices majorly because parents are very casual in turn and feel that their child will do something good and the age of college and school should be spent in enjoying too. However this enjoyment goes overboard and then the children do not listen to the parents thinking that they are advising them unecessarily.
Whatsapp, games, facebook is an addiction which parents are responsible for. Students are also feeling that its life and remain miles away from reality.
Enrolling students in a good college, disciplined environment is the key. Not giving too much leverage and making them realise the value of money and also that nothing comes for free should be imbibed in children.
Students should be helped to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Psychometric tests help in such discovery, which should be done at the right age and stage of career.
Best wishes
