In any field the interpersonal skills are vry important, as a biologist, you have to regularly interact with students, colleagues, superiors and some times clients. If you are having good interpersonal skills then you can easly, confidently and effectively communicate your views and thoughts to others. Just imagine, you are a very good teacher and researcher, but you lack interpersonal skills. Then you will not be able to convey waht you want to say. Using your interpersonal skills you can impress the perons in groups as well as the individual one.
