Dear FriendI do not know the level of your current education in biology and further your plan to be a professional in interpersonal business. Yes it is highly demanding and 24x7 job which is required as a bridge for all kind of professionals.

Initially you need to assess yourself as a good individual, persona, and then a smart professional at every walk of life. The level of your understanding about others problems, requirement, motivation . future plan etc. must be creatable and having standard to perceive quickly. As we know giving solution and connecting two contrast and similar background professional is not a easy job you have to convince the clients based on your conviction and perfections, of course parameters must be illustrative and for that you need to review time to time as per contemporary themes for any contacted personal.

Above cited example is just to explain you that how you can be a consultant for others. Your interpersonal skills are basically elucidate the following facts:
1.Ability to work in a team and an individual both which is possible with your maturity level as a calm, charismatic and creative personnel.
2. Interpersonal skill is not required only at work station though it is everywhere in you personal life, family and society which help your surrounding to communicate each other and getting benefited from each others business, dynamisms etc.

The following factors you have to adapt and need to workout:

a. verbal communication: how to connect and what should be the connecting media in terms of language, theme, background etc.

b. non-verbal communication: here you need to workout with your gesture and posture which are the part of your entire persona and behavior called body language

c. Hearing skill: you need to be good listener then speaking too much which can make negative impression, so be good listener and be a good interpreter before saying anything


d. Negotiation: Focus on the mutual agreement with your business partner so that you both can share the outcome without any conflict.

e. Problem Solving: skill of identification of problem and its solution

d. Decision making: analytical approach with negative and positive parameters which will help the process to reach any conclusion--is a sound decision.

e. Assertiveness: sharing ideas, opinion, and values are the important matter

Dear friend, yours is indeed is a very good and practical question. The interpersonal skills are integrated part of personality of an individual. The interpersonal skills are also known as soft skills, peoples skills, communication skills or personal skills. The person having good interperonsla skills are very successful in personal, social as well as in professional life. The person having strong communication of interpersonal skills are considered as calm, cool, confident and optimistic.

In any field the interpersonal skills are vry important, as a biologist, you have to regularly interact with students, colleagues, superiors and some times clients. If you are having good interpersonal skills then you can easly, confidently and effectively communicate your views and thoughts to others. Just imagine, you are a very good teacher and researcher, but you lack interpersonal skills. Then you will not be able to convey waht you want to say. Using your interpersonal skills you can impress the perons in groups as well as the individual one.

When you are in a problem, then you use your interpersonal skills to resolve the matter amicably. People learn interpersonal skills interacting with family memebers, going to schools, colleges, visits friends, relations and socializing with their peers. Healthy interpersonal skills reduces stress, resovle conflict, improve communication, enhance intimacy, increase understanding and promote joy.

Let me tell you some example of interpersonal skills;

Communication skills, some perople are very poor listener, they just dont want to hear what others say, they only want to say, what they want, this creats a very poor impression and such person are not at all popular among their social circle.


Assertivenes skills; here you express your rights, your views, without infringing or offencing the others rights. This shows your cool part of your peronality. Beacuse conflict is natural, and inevitable. This is common with superiors and colleagues. Conflict resolution skills helps you to solve conflicts and settle the matter for making long and healthy realtion.

Anger management involves recognizing and expressing anger appropriately in order to achieve goals, handle emergencies, solve problems, and even protect your health.

Now a days companies are hiring people who have strong interpersonal skills to make the working environment as amicable as possible.
