As such humanities have a lot of options depending on what he wishes to pursue further.

Following are he options he could look for in future:

Anthropology: A study of human culture. Here he would be studying both the past and present culture and its effects on the future inhabitants. This job includes a lot of travelling to different places either as a team or all alone. This is a 3 years undergraduate program, post that he could opt for a specialization at the masters level like:
  • LinguisticsAnthropology: Studying of varied linguistics to understand the effects of it on various cultural habitat.
  • Social Anthropology: Studies the social culture and habitat with interests in how social surroundings affects individuals andsocietiesas such.
  • Biological Anthropology: Studies how biology affects individuals and how individualsadjusttothesebiologicalcomponents.

Archaeology: As the name suggests it includes studying ancient monuments, buildings, temples and structures. Basically studying structures to understand its effect on culture and environment.
It also includes studying heritage sites and currently involved in preserving the heritage sites and monuments.

English Honors: A 3 years undergraduate program, whereby specializing in English language and literature. After graduation they could find employment in publisher house, as a reporters or interpreter, teacher and editors.

Psychology Honors: A 3 years undergraduate program, whereby studying of human behavior and remedies. Mainly involves therapeutic counseling to day to day issues and mental health issues. Also involves application of psychometric tests to identify certain neurotic or psychotic disorders, gauging the IQ level, career and Aptitude tests.
Some of the specializations includes:
  • Clinical Psychology: Majorly involved indealingwith psychotic and neuroticdisorderslike schizophrenia,paranoia,OCD and othermentalrelatedissues. Mostly they work in a hospital or clinical settings.Can begin practicing on their own.
  • Guidance and Counseling: Mostly referred to asCareercounselors.Specializesin Aptitude testing andguidingstudents towards suitable career choice based on their potentials
  • IndustrialPsychology:Majorlydealing with issues related to employers and employees. Works hand in hand withthemanagement and helpresolvingissues at corporate levels.
  • Counseling Psychologists: Mainly involved in counseling generic issues like stress,depressionand so on. Workshand in hand with a ClinicalPsychologists. Mostly work as a a School counselor.

Some of the generic options open to all 12th passed includes:

LAW: A 5 years undergraduate program. Admission purely based on entrance exams. Students would be exposed to different laws and its applications. Internships is a must for getting a degree. After graduation they need to work under established lawyers to gain experience and can then venture out on their own. Specializations at masters level includes Corporate law, criminal Law, Marital Law, Investment Law and so on.

BMM: A 3 years undergraduate course, admission purely based on entrance exam and interview. Some of the specialization to choose at undergraduate level includes Advertising, journalism or Public relations. Can further pursue it at the masters level depending on the specialization at the graduate level. Advertising specialization which includes print and visual advertisement, animations and graphics. Journalism which includes sports journalism, medical journalism, generic journalism and so on. Please note that this filed involves a lot of struggle. It would require a lot of publicity through word of mouth and trough maintaining healthy relationships. Majorly there is no fixed timings, the person needs to work round the clock and under any situation.

< u>BMS / BBA: A 3 years undergraduate management course. Students here are exposed to the basics of how the organization runs and basics of Finance, Marketing and HR.
Jobs are available at a Junior level, but one can purse an MBA program and specialize in any one field mentioned above.
BMS is offered by Mumbai university and admission purely on merit basis, and it is more theoretical course, whereas BBA is offered by Pune university, admission purely based on merit and is more theoretical in nature.

Choosing a course should entirely depend on likings, interests, ability and passion.
