Bank PO is higher designation offered in the Government Banking Sector. Bank PO exam is conducted for the students who are Graduates. There are two types of Bank PO exam conducted.
The Candidates who aspires to make a career in SBI bank they need to give an SBI PO exam.; whereas the candidate who wish to make a career as PO in any of the Government Banks they need to give an IBPS Bank PO exam. IBPS BANK PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the remaining 21 Government Banks in the Country.
The SBI PO exam is conducted in 3 levels
1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Examination
3. Group Discussion and Interview
There are restrictions for the attempt of the exam
1. General- 4 attempts
2.OBC - 7 attempts
3. Reserved - No restrictions
The SBI PO exam pattern and syllabus is as follows

Its advisable that you join the proper coaching for SBI PO exam preparation. Furthermore you can work with basic english and Mathematics and can read newspapers and watch news channels for general awareness. You can refer to NCERT books and there are many competitive books available in the market for bank po exam preparation you can refer to those also. Collect the past 5 years question papers and solve those papers to get an idea of the exam pattern. DO the time Mock Test for time Management.
