Hi
Since you have mentioned that you are good in accountancy, you can easily do ICWAI as it is a professional course equivalent to generic courses like B.com or BAF. With any professional course like CA/ICWAI/CS etc, an academic degree was suggested so that if you plan to change your career trajectory later, it can easily be done. Currently even a Ph.d is possible directly after these qualifications. BAF + ICWA will train you well in areas like financial accounting, cost accounting, taxation, auditing, business and economic laws etc. The best way to decide would be to compare the course structure of two degrees (BAF & B.COM) and choose accordingly.
All the best!
Dear Aspirant,
If ultimately you are thinking for becoming a Cost Accountant, then pursuing BCom or BAF will not matter. 85% in 12th commerce is commendable and it denotes that you have an aptitude as well as interest in finance.costing.accounting field.
Nice that you are good in accountancy subject and you can definitely complete CMA (ICWA is no more called that way).
Best wishes
In order to post replies to the question: "I’am commerce student and have scored 85% in 12th.I have registered myself for ICWA. Everyone is suggesting me to do B.com so that i don't find ICWA difficult. I’am good in accountancy and i wanted to do BAF. So which course so i choose B.com or BAF?"
