Hi

First of all do not get impatient and build trust in your obtained skill what you have done at M.Tech level. I guess you have not qualified GATE/NET-CSIR; UGC etc or have not yet heard of any research specialization. I can feel that you have not been groomed at your institute level and therefore you need to join extra research exposure what you can obtain by joining research professor (University/research institute/hospital) join any of them technician or research assistant you will not only get exposure rather you will get good emolument and research publication. Many openings are available explore the suitable online links; HLEPDESK/ ACADEMIC JOBS ETC or personally meet the people. This reference will give you national and international exposure then you can migrate abroad or any other research or professional goal as per your suitability.

Now I will advise you in different ways if you are not willing to pursue higher studies or research jobs then you can explore IPR certification course/ degree course or combined your degree with MBA, will be benificial for you.

If you are interested to join foreign universities then you have to be realistic that you have to show your communication skills in form of GRE/TOFEL or directly explore other discipline like management if you are capable to invest in dollars. Surely it will return you in multiplication, even you can establish your own entrepreneurship depends on your target in life.

M.Tech in Biotechnology is a mere degree if you are not skilled and prepared, It is huge degree if you know what you have obtained. You are advised not to be confused and be focused.

Prepare your CV in details and write your statement of purpose which must indicate the coherency between the employer's expectation and your claim.

Dear aspirant

Biotechnologist
Do not worry that you have not got any jobs related to what you have studied. This also requires to ask how well you have been searching for jobs in India
. I highly support Counsellor Mr Manoj's views here. Studying a degree alone will not actually help to find a job as this is what everybody is doing in this competitive world. This is why I often ask students how are they different in competition from others when searching for job. It is actually a necessity for students to do some internship or small projects or mini summer projects while doing their degree itself. Students can also engage in research and write some research articles or research journals and publish it in leading journals. This will increase their chances in finding either an academic job or scientific job. But as its over a year completing an MTech i understand you cannot implement the above strategies for the completed MTech degree but you can take this advice for your future degree.
As you have completed a MTech biotechnology already you are eligible to study two types of courses in Australia. One is the Master of science research based and the other is the PhD in Biotechnology. Australia has a principle that to recruit PhD students for a Biotechnology program, they often see if the student has at least 40% research done in their previous masters program. This is often the dissertation you write in India. However you can still consider doing the MSc by research in Biotechnology. Colleges offering this courseMaster by research Biotechnology are
1. Australian national university ANU
2. University of Queensland
3. Deakin university
4. Queensland university of technology
5. Swinburne university
6. Latrobe university
7. RMIT Australia
8. Macquarie university
Of all the universities i have written here, the first two universities are considered as one of the top in Australia and also world leading universities. If you complete this MSc by research then you can be eligible to get promoted as a PhD student either at same university or even at a different university. When you get a high score in MSc research course, then this will also get you scholarships to study PhD in Australia or any other country. Scholarship for a PhD means university will often give full tuition fee free plus some living stipend. So according to me applying for a MSc by research in biotechnology is a good choice for you. All the best.
