The field of commerce has been one of the long practised stream. Its one of the stream that deals with the Trade and exachange of goods and also with the money. In earlier days the transactions were done on the Barter System basis. Later with the development the Barter System was replaced by the Money system and thus with the existence of money it gave a room for the commerce stream. In each transaction the Money was exchanged in place of the Goods or things with the people. Whereas there used to be Mutual understandings between the people with regards to the transaction and credit system was introduced in the Commerce System. There was one issue in this credit system that was defaulter and so the contracts were made between the parties and law was introduce in the Commerce.

Furthermore if you see the filed of Commerce and Law grew at a larger phase with the development in the world. Different streams were developed like Science,Commerce and Arts as the basic streams for making a career. Furthermore the streams like Law,Psychology etc are also became an important of the career selection.

If we see all these streams have evolved quite long back and have a great scope and demand in those days and also today and will have in the future.

The fields like CA,CS.ICWA all have their own importance and role to be played in the Industry. The work and the role of all these branches is quite different and all of them equal scope and opportunities in the Industry.

If we talk about CS field its a filed that deals with the Legal issues of the Industries and Corporate i.e it deals with the Corporate Law . The role of the CS in the industry is to handle all the matters related to the legal side are to be looked after like liasoning, legal court matters etc.As per the Indian Companies Act it has become for the industries to have a professional certified CS . Every year 1,50,000 Certified CS are required in  the country. Whereas the industry demands for the CS professionals to have a Law degree alongwith the CS as it is useful and effective in the Career Growth.

If we consider the ICWA i.e CMA the name is changed now. The CMA is a branch that deals and works mostly in the Manufactuirng sector. The role of the certified CMA is to look after the Costing of the Goods. They need to look at the various aspects of the Manufacturing process like from where they can get the raw material at the low cost, How the manufacturing cost could be lessened, What should be the price of the Goods in the market at which they are supposed to be sold etc many things are to be studied and worked out. Every around 50,000 Certified CMA are required in the Country.

Both the fields have an equal number of career opportunities and scope. Its completely on you Where your interest and passion lies whether you like to make a career in the legal side as a CS and Corporate Lawyer or do you have an interest to study the costing and make a career in the same then you can go for the CMA course.
